Guap by Big Sean
Sean Anderson known as Big Sean is a twenty four year old rapper who has run into some large success recently. Guap is a track off of Big Sean’s album which is titled “Hall of Fame’ and it’s gaining a lot of popularity. This is his second studio album, but he has recorded several mix tapes. Although Big Sean was actually born in Santa Monica, California, he moved to Detroit, Michigan at two months old and by watching this video you can certainly tell that he likes to represent his home town.
The video features hoards of Detroit locals that can be seen dancing and cheering as Big Sean leads a huge parade throughout the city. The video was filmed on Woodard Avenue and it turns out that the road was actually shut down on November 18th, 2012 during the filming of it. The music video for Guap is very visually interesting and elaborate. It turns out that there were shots of the video actually filmed via helicopter. The video shows all of the characteristics of Detroit from marching through the city streets and even a local liquor store.
The track has a very catchy melody that many people will enjoy. Big Sean began writing the track back in March of 2012 and it’s turned out to be quite a success. Big Sean has stated that the song is “Something that strikes an emotional chord in people.” He also stated “Everybody is about to go crazy, this is one of those good feelings, man.”
Fans will love the visual details within the video and will also find it hard to not bob their head to the catchy beat. It’s certainly a great song that you can tell Big Sean really put a lot of thought and effort into. The track runs for about four and a half minutes, and there’s something interesting for each second of the video. Sean Anderson (Big Sean), Tyree Pittman and Dwane Weir II are the writers behind Guap. The track was produced by KeY Wane and also Young Chop.
