Limbo by Daddy Yankee
The “King of Reggaeton” surprises again with yet another amazing video. Daddy Yankee’s Limbo is a great video clip that will have you dancing you hours and hours. The “Cangri” uses many impressive stages for this video. It all starts in the Incan ruins, where several members of a tribe dance to Limbo’s tunes. The video was filmed in Peru and is part of the album Prestige. This is the fourth official single of Prestige, and was produced by Musicologo & Menes. The album contains reggaeton, hip hop and latin rap. The song was written by Raymond Ayala (Daddy Yankee) and E. Palacios Rivera. Prestige made it to the top of the iTunes store in only 24 hours.
This new song from Daddy Yankee has several techno influences, Brazilian vibes and his usual tropical spice. The choreograph is surprisingly simple but very enjoyable nonetheless. In this video the models combines tribal motives with very elaborate dresses that look like carnival outfits. Oh, and there’s also many a bikini dancing girl, if you’re into that sort of thing.
As expected, all the models look fantastic, the music is very contagious and, I think for the firs time ever in a Yankee video, we see some kids dancing in the video. Daddy Yankee’s look is fairly typical, he’s all dressed in black with big dark glasses and black sneakers. However, the dancers are very colorful and bring a tremendous dash of spice to the video.
On the second part of the video we transition to a Disco in which a more intimate dance routine takes place. The tempo accelerates and the musical vibe rises its full crescendo. All and all, it’s a very solid video for Daddy Yankee. Very enjoyable and with tremendous potential for international appeal. The album Prestige continues selling very well and Daddy Yankee has already won two Premios Lo Nuestro for his efforts on the album. Ramon Luis Ayala (Daddy Yankee’s real name) is sure to stay at the top of the charts for a very long time if he continues to produce material of such high quality.
