She Wolf (Falling To Pieces) by David Guetta ft. Sia
The newest electronic dance music / pop collaboration to take the mainstream charts by storm is David Guetta, featuring Sia’s “She Wolf (Falling To Pieces.” Continuing a long legacy of collaborations with modern pop stars, and also the second one to feature Sia, “She Wolf” is a truly epic and expansive song which features a video of equally stunning and voracious quality. Filmed almost entirely in the icy frozen tundras of Iceland, the video (filmed by acclaimed director Hiro Murai, produced by Jonathan Wang of Doomsday Ent / Pegasus, edited by Mandy Brown, visual effects by BEMO, executively produced by Danielle Hinde, commissioned by Danny Lockwood) features a beautiful nearly-nude female lead.
In the video’s beginning, she transforms into the aforementioned she wolf, hunted by a man and a woman who seek to kill her. The truly stunning features in the video are included in the scenes during which the hunters attempt to confront the she wolf. At these times, the wolf’s eyes seem to turn yellow as it almost super charges, sending out seismic waves which rock the physical realms surrounding it, seismic waves which appear to neutralize and vaporize anything in the wolf’s pathway.
Set in time to the rhythmic pulse of the song, these moments of disaster in the video are truly gripping and awe-inspiring. It has been years, seemingly, since a music video of such high quality and entertainment value has been seen to grace the airwaves and internet. Since these disaster effects are entirely digital, no humans or animals were harmed during the making of the video. The best thing of all about the video for “She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)” may be the song, itself.
In the traditional David Guetta vein, it’s a high energy dance song with soaring epic vocals which are sure to ignite the fire at any given party or dance club. Further, this particular David Guetta song seems different and new somehow, as if the artist has taken strides to ensure that his music will stand the test of time in the electronic dance community. This song, and it’s accompanying video, are sure to be around for many years to come.
