Get Your Shine On by Florida Georgia Line
Florida Georgia Line is a country music outfit featuring the duo of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hibbard. The pair got together with songwriters Rodney Clawson and Chris Tompkins. The music video to the band’s release in February 2013 was filmed entirely whilst on location in Cancun, Mexico.
The video was directed by Declan Whitebloom and lasts for 3 minutes and 42 seconds. The video begins with a plane presumably coming into land at Cancun International Airport. The duo is then seen strumming on their guitars under a number of palm trees and tropical surrounds. The song begins by the poolside and focuses on a couple of women in swimwear before showing the band members enjoying a beer by the pool and expressing surprise at the good looks of the local girls. The song itself was produced by Joey Moi.
Get Your Shine On is a party style country pop/rock number that has an up-tempo beat and a happy go lucky rhythm. The band continues playing in the warm shallow waters of a sub-tropical ocean and constantly pauses to admire the scenery throughout. Two of the band members are then seen socializing with a couple of local men at the poolside while drinking beer. At one point two band members are then seen leaving the resort to depart in a mini car and a motorcycle.
The motorcycle with one of the band riding and a female pillion passenger along with an open top car then travel through the hot, sultry streets of Cancun. It has recently rained and the driving is performed with great care, particularly by the motorcyclist rider. The car and the bike then arrive on to a white sandy beach with many tropical palm trees at the edge. The duo begins to walk up and down at the water’s edge and offering the girlfriends a piggyback on the beach. The band, including the drummer and full drum kit, are meanwhile playing away on the shallow waters of the beach edge.
After more musical performances in the bay’s shallow warm waters, Florida Georgia Line shares a piña colada with the ladies right on the beach and out in the sun. Other members of the band show up with drinks and a man in fancy dress joins them at the beach party. The man is joined by another friend dressed as a wrestler and a play fight begins at the edge of the beach.
