Take Back The Night by Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake makes a great success at taking his place in our generation as the king of pop, for he is a pioneer in music and always wants to make his own career path. Take Back the Night will remind viewers of great 80’s hits such as Michael Jackson’s Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough and Rock with You, it’s the type of disco pop song that has been rediscovered and is extremely encouraging amongst today’s music.
On July 10, 2013, Justin Timberlake’s official video channel, treated fans to a 45 second snippet of Take Back the Night. In this segment, Timberlake hopped out of a convertible holding several white cards in his hand listing the various release dates of his 2013 single Suit and Tie which came out January 14th, Mirrors which came out in February 11th, and 20/20 Experience which came out in March 19th. The last white card he held up was blurred which was the release date of Take Back the Night.
Timberlake then walked himself into Club Maxwell in Hoboken NJ, where viewers were rewarded with a 10 second preview of the song. The 20/20 Experience continues on, with the full video, Take Back the Night, making viewers leap out of their chairs and begin to dance. It was written and produced by Timberlake, Timbaland, and J-Rock, and is one of the most pleasant and upbeat rhythms for the 21st Century.
Take Back the Night was filmed in New York City, in which Timberlake invaded the streets of China Town and rode in an old school Cadillac in another night time scene. The video cuts back and forth between Timberlake heading to China Town to dance with some friends, hitting up the underground club, Maxwell’s , in Hoboken NJ, while managing to start a party where ever he happened to be. Timberlake’s artistry in public relations was amplified in the making of this video because he wasn’t using well-known actors, but utilizing social media to bring regular locals into the shoot.
150 of Justin Timberlake’s fans were extremely lucky to take part in the 20/20 Experience for he tweeted to 25 million followers that he would be filming at certain recently closed club in Hoboken, NJ and only the first 150 could get in. He also advised everyone to use public transport to get to the club, for he knew that a sizable and roaring crowd would certainly show up.
Timberlake mixes dancing in the streets, dancing in the club and a concert performance in his new video, ‘Take back the Night’. This song is the first single off of his album The 20/20 Experience and takes us back to the days when the night life ruled the streets in cities that never sleep. This first single to his upcoming album is due to be out on Sept 30th and has a very strong Michael Jackson-esque feel to it. All Justin Timberlake fans should be prepared to get up out of their seats and dance with this one.
