Stuck On a Feeling ft. Snoop Dogg by Prince Royce
Prince Royce, a young R&B revelation in USA, is a mixture or urban Bronx style seasoned with Latino music. The artist implies his Dominican musical heritage, as well as new trends, being already considered the new Ricky Martin or Enrique Iglesias in Latino music industry. ‘Stuck On A Feeling’ is his attempt to conquer the English mainstream musical market, supported by Snoop Dogg’s credit. The song includes samples of ‘Dance With Me’ performed by the R&B former band 112, transformed into a modern glamorous song by Prince Royce’s performance.
‘Stuck On A Feeling’ is a hallucinating elevator ride, taking Prince Royce from his ordinary life as represented by the common hotel hall to a complementary world, where he meets his sensual partner. She is calling him to an elevator that seems to stop time and space for their tender moments. Trying to get out of the unconventional elevator, Prince Royce discovers Snoop Dogg’s special room, joining the animated party. Once the party is over, he directs to the same elevator, but this time the beautiful woman he previously met is absent, making him wonder if everything he experienced wasn’t in fact a dream.
The video includes Snoop Dogg’s unconventional performance, displaying Beats headphones, in a white suit, printed with Bruce Lee’s figure. The party he designed is lit by spectacular neon lights, white or red, according to the status of Prince Royce’s relationship: teasing or passion.
‘Stuck On A Feeling’ promote Prince Royce’ fourth studio album completely mastered in English, suggestively named after the name of the most attractive single so far. Released in November 2014, ‘Stuck On A Feeling’ was created by the Prince Royce and Snoop Dogg, with the contribution of American songwriter Sam Martin, mostly creating songs for David Guetta (‘Dangerous’), Maroon 5 (‘Payphone’) or Keith Urban (‘Shame’). In the case of Prince Royce, the song follows the success registered in 2014 with ‘Te Dar Um Beijo’, while for Snoop Dogg is the third single released in 2014, after ‘You And Your Friends’. ‘Stuck On A Feeling’ was produced by Jason Evigan, mastering songs for Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Jason Derulo or Fifth Harmony. Prince Royce’s ‘Stuck On A Feeling’ is also available in Spanish, as a remix, featuring Colombian reggae singer J. Balvin.
The video of ‘Stuck On A Feeling’ was premiered in December 2014, directed by Colin Tilley, mostly known for Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’, Justin Bieber’s ‘Confident’ or Cheryl Cole’s ‘Crazy Stupid Love’. In the case of Prince Royce’s video, the American director implied a simple scenario: an unexpected flirtatious elevator ride, ending in Snoop Dogg’s room, resembling of a paradise of beautiful women.
